Music Resources
One of the goals of this project is to create videos which celebrate the dance music of the jazz era, and make it accessible to people who are perhaps seeing and hearing it for the first time. In part, this means using music that's fresh and exciting and does not suffer from the technological shortcomings of the jazz era.
In this year's contest, we are fortunate enough to have permission from three different bands to use their music. You can choose any song or songs from any of these three bands:
Crytzer's Blue Rhythm Band
We'd like to thank Glenn Crytzer and Crytzer's Blue Rhythm Band for giving us permission to use their music for this contest. Their support for this project is invaluable.

The Solomon Douglas Swingtet
We'd like to thank Solomon Douglas and The Solomon Douglas Swingtet for giving us permission to use their music for this contest. Their support for this project is invaluable.

Big Bang Jazz Band
Once again, the Big Bang Jazz Band (formerly The 51st Eight Jazz Band) has graciously given us permission to use their music. We are grateful to Bria Skonberg and the Big Bang Jazz Band for their support for this project.
You are also allowed to use jazz music that you have the copyright to yourself, as long as that music has not been used in another contest. Please also ensure that the quality of that music is good enough for a CD or DVD distribution.
If you are interested in sampling some of the music of the Big Bang Jazz Band before purchasing it, please check out the following albums:
